Recently, more than 1 million Alabama citizens qualified for Medicaid benefits through a variety of programs for children, families and pregnant women as well as for elderly and/or disabled people. Each Medicaid program has its own requirements you must meet in order to qualify for benefits. All programs have income requirements. Some programs also have age requirements or are limited to certain groups such as pregnant women or people who also have Medicare.
